The Mothman and The Historic Lowe Hotel

The Mothman Festival was a hit again this year, but I can't leave off my trip into the Historic and Haunted Lowe Hotel. A hotel right on the river in Point Pleasant that has been operating for 100 years or more. Just prior to entering the hotel we caught glimpse of the lovely lady below really getting into the band! Let it loose girl...the Mothman festival is all about gettin down. People seemed to be havnig a great time and there was no shortage of interesting people with strong beliefs about the paranormal. I had one medium make a strong comment to me while I was at her table purchasing a souvinir and book. it was eirie really...because she was correct in her words. Never met me before in her life. She gave me her card and wanted me to contact her. I was impressed.

The hole above was found on the 4 th floor of the Lowe Hotel. I don't know really why I was compelled to photograph it but I did. There was much of the hotel that was not finished and basically empty. I found this hole in the floor in a room the owner says she rarely will go into alone because she gets such a scary and anxious feeling there.
A view into te writing room of the hotel from an upper level.

A view down the hallway said to be one of the most haunted areas of the hotel on the third floor

The hotel itself was fascinating and beautiful,(the parts that were finished). I would havbe liked an in more depth tour, hwoever I will have to just book a room here in the future to get te full experience. I certainly "got the vibe" while walking throguh the hallways here.
Finished the night with a hay ride around the old TNT area where Mothman was first spotted. No luck seeing him tonight. Perhaps he and I will rendezvous in the future and if i get the scoop from him...I will fill you in of course. More information about the festival can be found here
